I seen this concert on PBS about 15 years ago and bought the video about 5 years ago. Now I'll have the audio too.

Never again will we be able to hear The Three Tenors together in concert. Pavarotti, Carreras and Domingo appeared together in concert for the first time in La Scala and this recording was preserved for the generations to come. Lay back and relax, absorb the music and imagine you were there.

A joyous celebration of some of the most exquisitely beautiful arias and the angelic voices that sing them along with the brilliant conductor Maestro Mehta at the helm. You cannot go wrong with this collection. Wrought with passion and pathos, if you do not feel a chill envelope you, nor fight back a tear while listening to these, then you might want to check your pulse. Sit back, relax, and allow yourself to be swept away.....

Ladies and Gents: I remember seeing this concert on pbs when they had their pledge drive. When I heard these three voices for the first time, I was captivated and just drawn in. I had never payed attention to or listened to opera before. This particular performance change everything. Please enjoy, don't understand, Just listen.

If you think that you might like opera or anything close to it; buy this album for a taste of the auditory mead of the gods. And if you are a fan; buy it as an addition to your collection. I honestly don't know how anyone of them could have improved their performace. I am a fan of the late Luciano Pararotti but can you imagine the first time he stubbed his toe?
  • Spectacular
