Vintage Sinatra, at his peak, 1965
By Bobby Mayes
Nelson Riddle is not the arranger; however, Gordon Jenkins is fabulous in his arrangements. Grammy award for album of the year. Every song is awesome. Title track and Once upon a time will cause you to drift away with thoughts as every word is poignant. A number 1, top of the heap!!
Stands As a Histgoric Musical Achievement
It is very simple. For those too young to even know Sinatra, this is the first perfect albumto use as an introduction to the world of "adult" music. Every song is meticulously crafted, emotionally resonant and they all find Sinatra in perfect form. Unfortunately the lossy bitrate of iTunes does not do the work justice but it is still well worth the price of admission.
A must have! A perfect gift !
Hauntingly beautiful, Frank at his best, velvet voiced , you will play this again , over and over enjoying his heart tugging songs, until one day, they are your songs!
Baby boomers will enjoy this smooth jazz album!
"When the wind was green","Don't wait too long" are my favorites!
