If there's anything in the world cooler than this session and collaboration between two of most classy and important performers of our lifetime, I haven't heard it.

Sinatra's voice really enhances the beauty of Jobim's music. Add to that Jobim's guitar playing and added vocals makes this a truly exceptional album.

I already have several copies of their music on different albums. This is some the greatest romantic music ever recorded. Don't sleep on this. These are timeless classics that you will come back to again and again year in year out for decades.
  • Sinatra & Jobim = Magic In Paradise

Many years ago I was on a plane flying back to Florida from California when I heard Frank Sinatra singing "Quiet Nights of Quiet Stars" written by Jobim. I was instantly swept away to a place I would never forget. I live for such moments as these. Antonio Carlos Jobim's Bossa Nova flowing from his very soul captures the listener's heart beat, drawing it in sink to a place from which one never wishes to return. Then, in this album, Old Blue Eyes (Sinatra) breathes his magic & one is left floating on that very breath, lost in paradise.

This album combines the 10 songs from Sinatra/Jobim in 1967, along with 7 more from Sinatra & Company, and 3 outtakes that were released on the 20-CD Reprise box set in 1995. Frank sings these songs in a muted voice, while Jobim strums his guitar and tosses in harmony vocals. Very romantic, play this one for your date during a candlelight dinner. A guaranteed good time.
